Job Title: Cable Laying Ganger (33kV)
Location: Scotland ( Dundee & North )
Salary: Competitive + tax free subsistence
Duration: Approx. 6 months (starting March 2026) potential for follow-on work
Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cable Laying Ganger to join our dynamic team on upcoming 33kV energy projects in Dundee and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for leading a small team of operatives, ensuring safe and efficient installation of underground and overhead cables according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
¢ Supervise and coordinate a team of cable laying operatives.
¢ Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently.
¢ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
¢ Inspect work completed by the team to ensure quality standards.
¢ Liaise with site management and report progress.
¢ Maintain tools, equipment, and site materials.
Requirements:
¢ Proven experience as a Cable Laying Ganger or similar supervisory role.
¢ Knowledge of cable laying techniques, tools, and equipment.
¢ Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
¢ Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
¢ Good communication and team leadership skills.
¢ CSCS card or relevant certification preferred.
